Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid/Remote)Duration: 6 Months (with potential for extension)Type: Contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced OneSource Indirect Tax Consultant with a strong technical background in SAP ABAP and preferably Java , to support tax compliance and integration initiatives in a hybrid working model. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in implementing and maintaining indirect tax solutions using OneSource in SAP environments, with exposure to S/4HANA being a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and support OneSource Indirect Tax integrations with SAP (ECC or S/4HANA).

• Work with the tax and finance teams to ensure accurate tax determination and compliance across jurisdictions.

• Lead or support OneSource-related projects such as upgrades, enhancements, and issue resolution.

• Develop and maintain SAP ABAP code related to tax integration logic.

• Collaborate with IT and tax stakeholders to troubleshoot and optimize tax configuration and performance.

• Ensure compliance with Direct and Indirect Tax regulations in international jurisdictions.

• Contribute to documentation, testing, and change management related to tax solution deployments.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with OneSource Indirect Tax , including configuration, support, and integration.

• Strong technical background in SAP ABAP (required); Java knowledge is a plus.

• Experience in S/4HANA implementation or migration projects is preferred.

• Proven experience in global direct and indirect tax compliance support.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Vertex or Avalara is a bonus.

• Understanding of tax determination logic and international tax rules.

• Exposure to Agile or hybrid project methodologies.

Work Environment:

• Hybrid/Remote setup with occasional travel or in-person collaboration as needed.

• Flexible but responsive work hours based on project deadlines and stakeholder availability.
