Role: We are seeking a dedicated Independent Living Coordinator/Medical Records professional to join our team! This position combines the responsibilities of concierge and resident activities coordination with the management of medical records for the health center.

Independent Living / Concierge & Activities:

  • During assigned shift answer and direct all in-coming phone calls
  • Greet all customers and direct them as needed
  • Have working knowledge as to the roles and responsibilities of management staff
  • Ensure that each resident of the community has an individualized activities program
  • Maintain department activity logs and documentation

Medical Records:

  • Follows and upholds the Communitys philosophy and goal to maintain, improve and/or enhance each residents quality of care and quality of life
  • Follows safety policies in performing nursing care, assuring resident safety
  • Follows and upholds policies and procedures of the Community
  • Follows and understands the Communitys Emergency Preparedness plans
  • Follows rules outlined in the Communitys employee handbook
  • Attends and participates in facility meetings and in-service training programs as assigned
  • Follows infection control guidelines
  • Observes residents rights including, but not limited to, privacy, dignity, etc.
  • Promotes positive public relations with residents, family members and guests
  • Management of the Electronic Heath Record with data input on an ongoing basis
  • Track physician visits and order reviews for regulatory compliance
  • Participates in Medicare Triple Check process

Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office products. Receptionist experience helpful. At least one year working in a long-term care environment. Six months of general clerical work experience in the medical records area and familiarity with Electronic Medical Health Records.
