About this Opportunity Brunswick County Department of Social Services is accepting applications for an Income Maintenance Caseworker (IMC) III - Adult Medicaid Services Program Specialist to join our Medicaid team. Job DescriptionIncome Maintenance Caseworker III - Adult Medicaid Services Program Specialist: The IMC III - Adult Medicaid Program Specialist is a member of the Medicaid team and reports to the Medicaid Program Manager. The IMC III completes second-party reviews, report management, and minimal caseworker functions. The employee is responsible for identifying error trends and assisting with training. The goal of this position is to ensure the agency is meeting quality and timeliness standards within the Adult Medicaid program units. Job responsibilities include:
  • Conduct second-party case reviews.
  • Assist with training.
  • Troubleshoot, send cased to the help desk when appropriate, and maintain and monitor the help desk log.
  • Compiles and enters data into NC FAST and county document management system.
  • Assist with vacant caseloads as needed.
  • Review weekly NC Fast postcards and provide weekly training/review for staff.

Other Information Normal Business Hours are 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday. Must be available to work after normal business hours and during emergency situations as required.. Education and Experience Two years of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker II; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Experience with NC FAST required. Physical Requirements Must be physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines, which include, calculators, copiers, facsimile machines, etc. Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pound of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for periods of time.
