In Home Sales Consultant
S&G Carpet and More is seeking a Sales Professional who is looking for a great opportunity to grow with a reputable corporation. Candidates must live in the territory; priority is given to South Bay residents.
Position Description
As an In‑Home Sales Consultant, you will receive daily leads from customers who have specifically reached out to us for new floor covering. You will meet with customers in their homes, assess the scope of their project, assist in the selection of products, provide written proposals, and close on‑site whenever possible. Cold calling is NOT required for this position. Experience in the service industry is encouraged.
Total Annual Compensation Package
- Generous starting base salary of $60,000; earn commission from day one.
- Between salary and commission, new hires can earn $70,000 – $95,000 per year to start; commission is uncapped.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Represent the company while selling floor covering to new customers.
- Assist customers with their floor‑covering projects by analyzing needs, wants, and budget.
- Ensure monthly sales quota is met.
- Maintain a minimum number of appointments per week.
- Update all sales activity and contact information using specialized software.
- Provide a high level of customer service by following through to completion with all customers.
- Cover roadshows and answer questions from potential customers.
Position Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong drive and ability to excel in a fast‑paced, competitive sales environment.
- Strong presentation and customer service skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet sales quotas and deadlines.
- Strong initiative and ability to seek out relevant information before making timely decisions.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with the internet.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends during peak periods.
- Ability to pass a background check.
