DESCRIPTION:
As the Import Manager of Customs Brokerage Operations, you will be responsible for the growth and development of the Customs Brokerage Operations at our Long Beach Branch Office. We seek someone with proven success, knowledge, and experience in the industry to help establish best practices and grow a team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the provision of Customs Brokerage services to our customersDevelop, implement, and enhance all Customs Brokerage policies and proceduresProvide guidance on U.S. Customs laws, regulations, and requirements to internal teams and external customersMap company process flows and review them to identify efficiency gainsReview and monitor all U.S. Customs rejections, requests for information, and inquiriesResolve customs and import compliance issuesLead and develop a team of Customs Brokers and Entry WritersStay current with developments and changes in regulations and government requirementsOversee compliance with applicable regulations, government requirements, and company standardsQUALIFICATIONS:
7+ years of experience in Customs Brokerage OperationsStrong understanding of US Customs laws, regulations, and requirementsResults-oriented with a drive to grow a customs brokerage operationExperience with strategic planning initiativesStrong analytical skills and systematic problem-solving approachManagerial and team-building experience is a plusBachelor's degree is strongly recommendedSeniority level
