Job Description :

Job Title: Tariff Import/Export Coordinator

Location: Franklin, TN (Onsite 3 days/week)

Duration: 6 Months (possible extension/conversion)

Role Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit import/export documentation to ensure customs compliance and regulatory accuracy.
  • Liaise with brokers and freight forwarders to streamline customs clearance.
  • Review and assign appropriate tariff codes (HTS) for imports/exports.
  • Enter data into internal systems for shipment tracking and audit readiness.
  • Investigate and resolve issues with broker billing, freight documents, and customs delays.
  • Coordinate all activities with 3rd-party logistics providers and vendors.
  • Assist in internal/external audits and prepare related documentation and reports.
  • Support process improvements and compliance in shipping operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of customs and international trade regulations (US Imports/Exports).
  • Hands-on experience with ACE system or similar customs platforms.
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Outlook), ERP familiarity, and accurate data entry.
  • Customer-focused, self-starter, and able to adapt in fast-paced environments.
