Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all import documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with customs agents, warehouse personnel, shipping companies, and clients.
  • Comply with local, national, and international regulations and guidelines.
  • Stay updated on current import laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Review and process all import transactions and documentation efficiently.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, shippers, and customs agents to ensure seamless import processes.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive records, reports, and documents pertaining to import activities.
  • Address and resolve discrepancies or issues with invoices and shipping.
  • Propose strategies to reduce costs and enhance operational procedures.
  • Oversee the customs declaration process and ensure accurate tariff classification.
  • Negotiate with vendors and suppliers for timely and safe delivery of goods.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of import policies and procedures.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in International Trade or related field, customs broker license, or 5+ years of experience in trade compliance.
  • Proficient in international trade regulations.
  • Certification in import/export compliance is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Incoterms, HTS codes, and tariffs.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Capable of building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Comprehensive understanding of international business practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Willingness to take ownership of work outcomes.
