Paralegal
Location: Arlington, VA (Hybrid)
Contract: 6+ months
Start date: ASAP (interviews are currently underway)
We are seeking multiple Immigration Paralegals with experience supporting nonimmigrant (NIV) and/or immigrant (IV) visa processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the collection and organization of documents and information from various cases at the firm. This candidate should feel comfortable relaying messages between various groups and keeping all documents important to the cases they are working on organized.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and file employment-based immigration petitions and applications, with a focus on either NIV (e.g., H-1B, TN, L-1, O-1) or IV (e.g., PERM, I-140, I-485) cases
- Coordinate with attorneys, clients, and internal stakeholders to gather case-related information and documentation
- Draft and edit legal correspondence, forms, and supporting materials for submission to USCIS, DOL, and other government agencies
- Track deadlines, maintain accurate case records, and ensure timely follow-up on pending matters
- Monitor updates to immigration policies and procedures, ensuring continued compliance
- Review and draft routine legal documents
- Create and maintain case files
- Facilitate the meeting of attorney's deadlines by keeping organized schedules and providing timely reminders
- Conduct legal research
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience working in employment-based immigration law
- experience in U.S. business immigration (NIV or IV)
- Familiarity with employment-based visa categories and the end-to-end preparation process
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience with immigration case management systems (e.g., INSZoom, LawLogix, Docketwise, Tracker I-9) is a plus
- Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate
