Job Description
- Analyze and understand customer requirements related to IBM Message Queue (MQ) administration.
- Experience with MQ versions 8.0, 9.0, and upgrades.
- Administer, maintain, deploy, and configure IBM MQ including installation and configuration of versions 8.x and higher.
- Implement security hardening, including TLS encryption and authority/authentication records.
- Define and modify MQ configurations such as queues, listener ports, channels, pub/sub, etc.
- Support MQ queue managers in a hub & spoke environment (MQ Clients).
- Perform tuning, troubleshooting, resolution, and support for messaging applications.
- Collaborate with application development teams.
- Monitor messaging application performance.
- Experience with MQ clustering.
- Manage product fixpack installations and version upgrades of WebSphere MQ.
- Use MQSC commands for administration tasks.
- Knowledge of backup and recovery processes for MQ.
