Base pay range

$150,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr

Hybrid - onsite Tues/Wed/Thur

Our client, a leading financial services company, is currently seeking a Data and AI Risk Governance Lead for their Investments & Capital Markets division. This strategic role is based in New York, NY, and is pivotal in supporting enterprise-wide risk programs related to Data and AI technologies.

Position Overview

As the Data and AI Risk & Governance Lead, you will be integral to shaping data governance frameworks and promoting the responsible use of AI technologies across the firm. Your efforts will be crucial in aligning divisional objectives with corporate risk management strategies.

Your Responsibilities
  • Partner Collaboration: Coordinate with legal, technical, and business teams to communicate risk findings and influence decision-making.
  • Risk Assessment and Remediation: Perform thorough risk assessments on data management and AI initiatives, proposing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Policy Development: Craft and refine AI governance policies to ensure organizational alignment and compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
  • Ethical AI Advocacy: Champion ethical considerations in AI usage, focusing on transparency, fairness, and accountability.
  • Security Support: Provide expertise to information security teams on data management and AI-related security concerns.
  • Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to established data and AI policies, providing corrective guidance where necessary.
  • Training and Awareness: Develop and promote training programs to enhance understanding of data and AI risks and best practices across the enterprise.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Collaborate on defining and reporting enterprise key performance indicators (KPIs) and key risk indicators (KRIs) that monitor risks associated with model data and AI.
  • Qualifications
  • 8+ years of relevant experience with a strong foundation in operational risk management, including specific exposure to technology, information, and model risk.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2-5 years in a management or leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of Data Management best practices and AI technologies such as machine learning, natural language processing, and more.
  • Familiarity with critical regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and industry standards (IEEE, NIST, ISO/IEC).
  • Exceptional communication and collaborative abilities.
