Hydraulics Engineer - The Ascent Group LLC : Job Details

• Lead the development of combat vehicle auxiliary systems from derived system level requirements.
• Develop and review subsystem/component performance analysis related to auxiliary systems including as a minimum heating/cooling performance, fluid power and flow.
• Manage design and development of subsystems such as HVAC, seating, and hydraulics working with the auxiliary systems assigned design staff as well as other multi-disciplinary functions.
• Prepare and present design development status to management and customers

Supervisory Responsibility:

• Coordinate design development including the management of designers assigned to auxiliary systems development.

Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (as demonstrated through experience, training and/or testing)

• Working understanding of vehicle HVAC and NBC collective protection systems
• Understanding of combat vehicle fire suppression systems
• Understanding of vehicle chassis level fluid power systems
• Understanding of combat vehicle seating systems
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work within CAD based design systems
• Knowledge of or ability to learn model based systems engineering techniques

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

• 7 to 10 years of relevant experience working with combat vehicle auxiliary systems design or closely related systems
