Compensation: Estimated $115,000 to $160,000 annual salary based on experience, with potential for increase upon obtaining PE license.

Hybrid Location: Midland Park, NJ, or Goshen, NY office (assessment for hybrid work arrangement after a 90-day in-office training period).

Work Schedule: Potential for 3 days in the office and 2 from home, subject to client needs and manager approval.

Job Type: Full-time W-2 position with benefits.

Senior Electrical Engineer Job Summary:

LAN Associates, a mid-sized multi-disciplined architectural and engineering firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer. This role offers opportunities to develop new skills on various building projects and advance your career. Responsibilities include electrical design and drafting, client interaction, and mentoring junior staff. LAN offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

Senior Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and develop junior staff
  • Design electrical projects complying with industry standards and regulations
  • Perform project development, design, and construction tasks
  • Prepare proposals and participate in submissions
  • Collaborate with architects, owners, vendors, and officials throughout project phases
  • Manage office construction administration tasks
  • Assist with job site observations, proposals, marketing, and reports
  • Develop applications, permits, and specifications
  • Attend client and project meetings
  • Utilize electrical design calculations and software

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7+ years in the AEC industry (up to 10 years preferred)
  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • PE or EIT certification, with goals of attaining PE licensure in NJ & NY
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of electrical standards and codes
  • Client-facing experience in building projects
  • Experience mentoring engineers
  • Ability to read construction documents
  • Strong project and team management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally (up to 20%)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in architectural/engineering firms
  • REVIT and power analysis software experience
