HVAC Project Manager
Position Type: Full-time salary position, eligible for bonuses based on performance.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced HVAC Project Manager to join our Connecticut team and oversee the successful execution of single-family and multifamily residential HVAC projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HVAC systems, especially heat pumps and ductless minisplit equipment and installations. The HVAC Project Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of projects from scope QC to completion, ensuring high-quality workmanship, compliance with regulations, and timely delivery.
Responsibilities:
Project Management:- Plan, schedule, and coordinate HVAC projects from inception to completion, ensuring all project milestones and deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Establish and maintain rigorous quality control procedures to ensure HVAC systems are installed to meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.
Subcontractor Management:- Recruit qualified contractors to join our team of installation partners.
- Identify, evaluate, and select subcontractors for HVAC installations and related tasks.
- Provide clear instructions and expectations to subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project plans, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Regularly communicate with subcontractors to track progress, address concerns, and maintain a collaborative working relationship.
Scoping and Planning:- Conduct thorough site assessments when necessary to accurately scope HVAC requirements for single-family and multifamily residential projects.
- QC scoped projects and identify any adjustments needed to prepare them for installation.
- Prepare detailed project plans, including materials, equipment, labor, and timelines.
- Ensure project feasibility and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Permit Compliance:- Coordinate and manage the process of obtaining required permits for HVAC projects, ensuring timely submission and approval.
- Maintain accurate records of permits, inspections, and relevant documentation.
- Ensure permits are properly closed out upon project completion.

Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in the HVAC industry as an installer, project manager, or other industry-related professional.
- Experience in project management within the HVAC industry, with a focus on residential projects a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, installation practices, codes, and regulations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree required.
