Job Type Full-timeDescriptionPosition Summary Contribute to the growth of ENTEC by providing professional consulting to our clients regarding their HVAC facility needs. Evaluate client requirements and offer solutions which represent the best performance and lowest total cost of ownership. Determine the projected time frame needed to complete a project and additional factors such as labor needs, materials, budgets, and potential setbacks. Work with the outside sales team and project managers to ensure a positive outcome for our clients.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Providing design assistance on mechanical projects as needed including working within other teams such as Building Automation Systems and EngineeringSupporting the Sales Team in estimating mechanical projects and support contractsBuilding estimates within the tools provided and collaborating with sales to meet or exceed target marginsAssisting the Sales Team in determining whether the work can be executed in-house or if it should be subcontractedPlanning field time with each territory rep on a monthly and as-needed basisConducting Sales Team training monthly as coordinated with your supervisorCreating and maintaining relationships with key suppliers and partnersWorking closely with Project Managers to ensure the best possible outcome of each project from both a performance and profitability perspectiveAttending all scheduled sales and company meetings as assignedOther duties as assignedObjectives:Initial objectives in your new role include:Increase the field knowledge of the Sales Territory ManagersIncrease personal knowledge through continuing educationMaintain membership in the local chapter of ASHRAE and attend as many meetings as reasonably possibleProvide support in a timely manner to meet both company and customer needsMaintain an average target margin on estimated jobsReview closed projects monthly to evaluate estimated versus actual project margins Qualifications and Capabilities Required:HVAC Industry Estimating ExperienceA strong work ethicPreferred:Engineering and/or design experienceFour-year degree in Business, Project Management or Mechanical EngineeringSkills, Knowledge, and AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExceptional negotiation and persuasion skillsStrong understanding of HVAC systems, components and install practicesAbility to analyze project documents, identify issues, make improvement suggestions and develop accurate cost estimatesUnderstand total cost of ownership vs first costMust project a professional imageMust be a self-starter, with the ability to work well as part of a team and independentlyAbility to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goalsAble to demonstrate a commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals or deadlinesMust possess and maintain an exceptional work ethic, uphold company values, and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and othersFluent in Microsoft applications and customer relationship management software.
