We are a leading mechanical contracting company specialising in HVAC systems for commercial projects across New York City's 5 boroughs. We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator with a strong focus on HVAC to join our team and deliver accurate, competitive bids for a variety of commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for commercial HVAC projects, including design-build, retrofit, and tenant fit-out work.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation to identify mechanical system requirements, scope, and potential challenges.
• Source pricing from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors for HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, and controls.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure all HVAC components are accounted for in the estimate.
• Produce bid packages, cost summaries, and tender documentation to support successful project acquisition.
• Maintain and update cost databases for HVAC equipment, materials, and labor rates to ensure accuracy in future projects.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator with a strong focus on HVAC systems in commercial construction.
• Deep understanding of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including ductwork, piping, and controls.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, mechanical schematics, and specifications.
• Experience with estimating software (e.g., Trimble, McCormick, PlanSwift) and MS Office.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
