This position requires you to be actively involved in the maintenance of properties, ensuring not only their protection but also their maximum value. Essential duties include:
- Providing professional, polite, and helpful interactions with customers.
- Operating, maintaining, and repairing HVAC/R equipment, including air handlers, chillers, refrigeration systems, etc.
- Conducting preventive maintenance on HVACR and associated systems at the site.
- Responding to on-demand HVAC requests from building tenants.
- Working safely on elevated platforms and within confined spaces.
- Completing paperwork meticulously and preparing reports.
- Assisting in emergencies as needed, including after-hours calls.
- Maintaining cleanliness and safety in all work areas.
- Complying with fire, safety, and emergency practices, and reporting unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
- Participating in training to improve job-related skills and assisting in the training of other employees.
- Working overtime as needed.
Requirements:
- High school graduate.
- Minimum of 3 years of HVAC experience.
- Preferred related technical school certification.
- Experience with central plant systems.
- Must have a Class A license (or obtain it within the first 90 days of employment).
- CFC certification preferred, but not required.
- Basic plumbing skills required.
- Willingness to perform miscellaneous tasks like painting.
- Preferred two or more years of experience with commercial HVACR equipment and systems.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and materials.
- Basic computer skills with familiarity in Office products.
- Able to lift and carry over 50 lbs.
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to keep detailed records of activities performed and complete basic reports.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical documentation.
- Strong interpersonal skills to maintain good working relationships with teams and clients.
- Availability to work shifts and overtime as needed.
