Salary: $50,400.34 - $77,462.18 Annually Location : Asheboro, NC Job Type: Full Time Job Number: 202300758 Department: Administration Division: Human Resources Opening Date: 08/15/2025 Closing Date: 8/22/2025 5:00 PM Eastern Description Performs intermediate skilled administrative work assisting with the administration of recruiting and benefits programs, processing payroll, updating/maintaining HRIS data for reporting, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Assistant Human Resources Director. Minimum Education and Experience Associate's Degree designed to support business operations and/or human resources and two - four years of related experience; or Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Human Resources or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Special Comments
  • Manages payroll process for assigned departments for new hires, terminations, leave, and other employee changes. Reviews payroll actions for accuracy and policy compliance.
  • Conducts benefit enrollment sessions, presenting information, responding to employee questions, collecting enrollment forms and employee badging process for new hires and existing employees.
  • Processes benefit enrollment/change/cancellation forms for new enrollments, qualifying events and terminations.
  • Serves as a back-up for the Human Resources Technician on recruitment and payroll processes.
  • Serves as a back-up to the front Desk Window.
  • Coordinates, analyzes and processes data from benefit platforms and the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) for reporting. Makes corrections and updates, as needed.
  • Responds to salary surveys received from various municipalities, School of Government, Office of State Human Resources.
  • Maintains and updates job descriptions/class specifications.
  • Assists with coordinating Annual Enrollment.
  • Administers the county badging process.
  • Manages specific human resources related projects and reports as assigned by the Assistant Human Resources Director.
  • Abides by, enforces and participates in the implementation and ongoing oversight of Randolph County Government safety standards and regulations.
