Position Responsibilities
The Human Resource Specialist will handle various HR administrative duties to support daily personnel data, documents, and information flow. This role is essential for maintaining personnel documents securely and compliantly, and provides backup support during peak times.
Confidential and accurate processing of employee data, including new hires, terminations, rate changes, and other updates, along with electronic filing of personnel documents. Run and review Motor Vehicle Record reports, maintain MVR files, track and send ineligible letters, and provide regular eligibility reports. Process Background Checks, E-Verify Form I-9s, and assist in audits as required. Support Benefits Administration during peak times, covering for the Benefits Team and front Reception vacations. Assist in scheduling pre-employment drug screens and physicals, confidentially file and track results, and reconcile invoices. Handle unemployment claims processing promptly. Provide requested information, file protests, and attend hearings as needed. Complete employment verification and letter requests confidentially and timely. Order business cards for new and current employees as needed. Generate and track Employee ID Access Badges for new and existing staff. Report new hires to the Indiana New Hire Registry weekly. Assist with data compilation and document retrieval for audits. Reconcile expenses and submit electronic Expense Reports. Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits, pay, and the Employee Self Service Portal with professionalism and promptness. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or VP of HR. Position Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future.
- 1 to 3 years of office experience.
- One year of HR experience is strongly preferred but not mandatory.
