Job Description :

The ideal candidate will be hands on and working on the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities. This position is a self starter position for the right empathetic candidate that has in depth proven Generalist experience.

Responsibilities

  • Onboard new hires at our various locations (company vehicle available for use to travel)
  • Recruitment, which includes application/resume review, job posting maintenance, and reference checks.
  • Provides support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations.
  • Oversees the administration of DOT rules and regulations within HR responsibilities which includes auditing of files and Clearinghouse compliance
  • Oversee drug testing processes and background checks
  • Oversee and performs HR systems maintenance and coordination
  • Complete ownership of benefit offerings, which includes COBRA, and open enrollment, and leave administration; PFL, FMLA, and worker's compensation
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and employment law.
  • Actively review any new regulations to ensure we are compliant with State and Federal mandates
  • Conduct monthly reporting and analysis
  • Provide employee support and communications
  • General HR tasks in a lean hands-on organization
  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
  • 5+ years' experience in Human Resources
  • Demonstrated expertise working with managers and employees
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills
  • Attention to detail and good judgement
  • Strong computer skills including excel
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
