Summary: Provides specialized HR administrative support for high-volume compliance processes by utilizing in-depth knowledge of Children's Human Resources programs and processes. Advanced responsibilities for pre-boarding, onboarding, cross-boarding, for employees and non-employees, including background checks, drug screens and license verifications, to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Also responsible for ongoing credential verification throughout employment. Acts as a preceptor and resource for HR Onboarding Associates. Assists in higher level reports and auditing team members. SME in HR processes, principals, and practices. Responsibilities: * Responsible for all onboarding activities including background checks, drug screens, verification of credentials when applicable, and coordinating with Occ health to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements * Review and escalate, as appropriate, any discrepancies revealed through background checks and drug screens and coordinate resolution with involved parties * Act as SME for team * Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; demonstrates awareness of the industry, including regulatory, evolving customer demands, and the factors that differentiate the organization in the market * Communicate onboarding progress and other necessary information with candidates, recruiters, co-workers, vendors, and leaders as appropriate to ensure timely and through assessment that supports a positive onboarding experience * Responsible for providing accurate onboarding status reports to key stakeholders * Initiate and collaborate with HRIS to maximize system capabilities to support data entry, maintenance, and reports that impact daily work * Support new employee orientation by confirming all onboarding requirements are completed, providing instructions, providing accurate list to key stakeholders, and assisting with sign-in process * Provide assistance/support as needed for assigned HR tasks/programs/projects as assigned including front desk coverage, back up coverage among team, personnel actions, and other duties as assigned * Interacts with customers and colleagues by phone, email, and in person to provide accurate and timely information * Provides customer service that demonstrates Children's values consistently to its internal and external customers * Manage priorities, maintains confidentiality, and multitasks while working in high volume and high stress environment * Obtains and maintains a working knowledge of electronic HR system to perform all functions of job including data entry, maintenance, and reports * Assists with special projects and request as required; prioritizes projects appropriately with other assignments How You'll Be Successful: Other information: WORK EXPERIENCE * Minimum 5 years HR experience with proven history as SME and process improvements/recommendations, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment required EDUCATION * High school diploma or equivalent required * Two-year Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS * HR Certification preferred JOB PROFILE * Is skilled in a range of processes, procedures and systems to carry out assigned tasks or has developed deep skills in a single area * Understands the roles of all immediate team members and has a good understanding of how own team integrates with others * Regularly provides guidance and support to more junior team members on challenging problems;
