Are you passionate about HR but also crave a dynamic, client-facing role? GTM Payroll Services is seeking a knowledgeable, proactive, and client-focused HR Generalist Consultant to join our growing Household HR team. In this unique position, you'll advise families who employ household staff-such as nannies, senior caregivers, housekeepers, and more-on HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance strategies across multiple states. You'll serve as both a trusted advisor and an HR problem-solver, managing your own portfolio of clients and helping them navigate the often-complex world of household employment. What You'll Do:

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for a portfolio of household employers enrolled in GTM's top tier Programs.
  • Advise clients on employment best practices including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, disciplinary procedures, and termination.
  • Develop and implement HR tools, policies, and procedures tailored to the unique needs of household employment.
  • Provide guidance on complex employee issues including leaves of absence, workers' compensation, and disability accommodations.
  • Educate clients on employment regulations like overtime, paid time off, and the Domestic Worker Bill of Rights in various states.
  • Partner with internal payroll, tax, and insurance teams to deliver a seamless client experience.
  • Conduct quarterly compliance audits and client review calls to ensure adherence to applicable HR laws and GTM standards.
  • Deliver high-quality internal training and participate in external presentations or webinars.
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience; consulting experience is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with a consultative and client-focused approach.
  • Ability to build rapport, solve problems, and manage multiple client needs with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • PHR or SPHR certification is a plus.
