Description
- Lead and manage all HR functions for the facility, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and performance management; must be capable of operating independently with minimal oversight.
- Serve as the primary HR advisor to plant leadership, providing strategic guidance on workforce planning, organizational development, and employee engagement.
- Conduct complex employee relations investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions aligned with policy and legal compliance.
- Interpret and enforce HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistent application across departments and in accordance with state and federal labor laws.
- Direct and execute full-cycle recruitment strategies for hourly and salaried roles, ensuring high-quality, timely hires that align with organizational goals.
- Oversee HRIS and records management, ensuring accurate employee data, documentation, and compliance with audit standards.
- Facilitate and support performance management, including coaching managers through evaluations, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
- Lead compliance initiatives related to employment law, safety, and workers' compensation, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
- Develop and implement training programs, including onboarding, leadership development, and skills-based training tailored to the needs of a manufacturing workforce.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends, presenting actionable insights to senior leadership to improve retention, engagement, and productivity.
- Coordinate benefit administration and open enrollment, collaborating with third-party vendors and corporate teams as needed.
- Act as a change agent during organizational transitions, supporting communication plans and workforce alignment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience.
- Proven experience independently managing all core HR functions, including employee relations, recruiting, compliance, and performance management.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, guide, and influence leaders at all levels in a fast-paced, operationally driven environment.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state labor laws (e.g., FMLA, FLSA, ADA, OSHA, EEOC) and how they apply in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience handling investigations, writing disciplinary documentation, and managing terminations in a fair and compliant manner.
- Professional HR certification preferred. (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP)
