Base pay range

$70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

Perform duties for a range of Human Resources functions, including recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, safety, policy and procedure updates, compliance, and employee training.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Supports organization staffing by assisting in recruiting, testing, and interviewing process; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews.
  • Participates in college relations and sourcing vendors (staffing, recruitment firms, and advertising agencies) as they relate to recruitment duties.
  • Works with employees and their supervisors to ensure job requirements and job descriptions are updated for all positions.
  • Assist in the development, interpretation, coordination, and creation of policies and employee handbooks.
  • Maintains compensation plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning and implementing compensation structure revisions.
  • Ensures planning, monitoring and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances.
  • Resolves HR issues with individual employees, either directly or through interaction with supervisory personnel.
  • Assist in benefit plan administration, new hire paperwork, FMLA, COBRA, HRIS administration, and other tasks associated with benefit programs.
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource requirements, conducting investigations, representing the organization at hearings.
  • Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, recommending, and monitoring adherence to human resource policies and procedures; preparing and delivering training sessions as relevant.
  • Oversight, including in depth knowledge of current requirements of immigration law, for recruitment or retention of non-citizens in key positions throughout the organization.
  • Support of industrial relations programs at all locations, including unionized workforces.
  • Assess effectiveness of performance management, recommending and implementing improvements.
  • Perform EEO and Affirmative Action compliance duties.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies.
  • Domestic travel between division locations, 10 20%.

Education/Training:

Degree: Masters Degree

Major: Business, Human Resources or Industrial Relations

Experience:

  • 6 + years experience in Human Resource functions in a manufacturing environment, union and non-union experience a plus
  • Knowledge of state and federal labor regulations
