The HR Generalist works closely with the HR Director to manage the operations of the HR function. The HR Generalist is responsible for managing training, annual appraisals, workforce management, and other operational duties. Additionally, they advise on and apply all HR policies and company guidelines to ensure management staff are aware of and adhere to them.

Responsibilities:
  • Support managers and supervisors across the organization on all HR-related matters.
  • Maintain employee files and all relevant HR documentation.
  • Administer personnel actions and HR investigations as needed.
  • Provide handbook policy and procedure guidance to employees and management for assigned departments.
  • Administer the annual appraisal process.
  • Assist the HR Director with annual budget preparation and forecasting.
  • Coordinate Learning & Development and Career Path processes, including oversight of the Job Shadow Program.
  • Manage FMLA & ADA Reasonable Accommodation and LOA administration.
  • Handle onboarding, 30/60/90 check-ins, offboarding, and exit interviews.
  • Prepare annual EEO-1 reports for the US and related reports for other jurisdictions.
  • Develop and maintain organizational guidelines and SOPs.
  • Review cost estimates, projections, and labor-related statistical analyses.
  • Survey industry trends and employee feedback, reviewing information obtained from these sources.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives to improve the employee experience.
  • Create and maintain relationships with managers and supervisors.
  • Work closely with the Payroll and Benefits Supervisor and provide backup support.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and reporting.
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of experience in a generalist HR role.
  • Experience in process evaluation, SOP creation, and adherence.
  • Proficiency in handling a wide range of HR administrative tasks and functions.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and manage HR issues objectively, balancing management and employee interests.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
