Job Title: Human Resources Generalist Department: Human Resources Reports To: Human Resources Manager Supervises: N/A Summary/Objectives: The primary function of the Human Resources Generalist, under supervision of the HR Manager, is to provide administrative support to the Human Resource and EHS functions. HR Generalist should understand the role/function of human resources and safety in the organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
  • Facilitate and coordinate recruiting activities such as job postings, sourcing, applicant tracking, resume review, and interview scheduling.
  • Responsible for new hire documentation, onboarding, background screening, orientation and onboarding.
  • Coordinate/process temporary employees through communication with staffing agencies and Team Leads/Supervisors, ID Badges, time clock records, hire/release processes and documentation.
  • Assist Supervisors with employee relations, disciplinary actions and time record management.
  • Respond to internal and external requests for information, OESC claims and hearings, and FMLA correspondence.
  • Enter, track and maintain HR and EHS electronic records/files in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
  • Coordinate or assist with planning and execution of company meetings/events.
  • Scan documents into electronic files, make photocopies, prepare correspondence, fax/email documents and perform general office duties.
  • Assist with special projects, audits or other duties as assigned.
  • Support and enforce all company policies, procedures, and safety rules.

  • Education and/or Experience:Required:
    • Associates Degree.
    • 2+ years of Human Resources experience preferably in manufacturing/production environment; or, equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
    • Ability to organize work assignments and multi-task.
    • Above average computer skills are necessary.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
    • Must be a good communicator (written and verbal) and able to speak, read, write and understand the English language.
    Preferred:
    • Bachelors Degree
    • Previous experience in manufacturing/production
    • Knowledge/Experience with Paycom and ERP applications

    • Use of appropriate personal protective equipment, including but not limited to safety glasses and hearing protection.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
    Work Environment: Main work area is in office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to occasionally be in production areas and could be exposed to airborne contaminants, moving mechanical parts, excessive noise and vibration. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Part time 06:00 am - 12:00 Monday - Thursday. Travel: No travel is expected for this position.
