Job Summary: The HR Generalist is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues. The successful HR Generalist acts as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management, the HR Generalist formulates partnerships to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Be a trusted advisor to leadership teams across geographic regions and provide HR guidance.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase engagement and retention.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies. •
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Conducts exit interviews and provides guidance and advice regarding feedback and trends.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in HR Generalist role.
- Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
- Critical and strategic thinking skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with employee relations, conflict resolution, organizational development, and/or change management.
- Knowledge of benefits administration.
- Analytical skills for HR metrics and reporting.
