Reporting to the HR Director, the HR Generalist is responsible for supporting key human resources functions, including employee relations, onboarding, recruitment coordination, benefits administration (including billing), and project management as needed. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a seamless employee experience by managing HR processes efficiently while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations, as well as the following:

Onboarding & Recruitment

  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding processes ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
  • Prepare and process new hire paperwork, including offer letters, background checks, and I-9 verification.
  • Be new employees' primary contact to provide resources and answer questions.
  • Assist with recruiting efforts including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and maintaining applicant tracking systems.
  • Support employee benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Act as a liaison between employees and benefits providers to address inquiries and resolve issues.
  • Manage benefits billing, ensuring timely and accurate invoice reconciliations.
  • Work closely with accounting to resolve any billing discrepancies or issues.
  • Assist with annual open enrollment and benefits programs communications.

HR Operations & Projects:

  • Maintain HR records to ensure employment law and company policy compliance.
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Participate in HR-related projects, process improvements and system updates.
  • Provide employee relations support in collaboration with the HR Director, ensuring consistency and professionalism in handling sensitive issues.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in human resources, benefits administration, recruitment, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of HR policies, employment laws, and benefits administration.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and applicant tracking systems is a plus; Ceridian or Dayforce preferred.
  • Willing to come onsite four days per week.
