About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established and respected organization in the food manufacturing sector, is seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Director of Human Resources. This leadership role is ideal for a professional who can align HR initiatives with overall business objectives while also fostering a strong culture of employee safety, compliance, and engagement. The Director of HR will serve as a trusted partner to executive leadership, guiding organizational development, workforce planning, and safety programs to ensure a productive and people-focused workplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of HR strategies that support organizational goals and business growth.
  • Oversee all core HR functions, including employee relations, talent acquisition, benefits administration, training, and compliance.
  • Champion workplace safety initiatives by collaborating with operations leadership to implement proactive safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA and industry standards.
  • Partner with leadership to drive organizational culture, succession planning, and talent development.
  • Develop and monitor HR metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Advise leadership and managers on best practices for performance management, coaching, and workforce engagement.
  • Lead the HR team in fostering collaboration, accountability, and employee well-being.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 8+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including at least 3 years at the director or senior manager level.
  • Strong knowledge of HR compliance, labor laws, and workplace safety regulations.
  • Demonstrated success in building HR strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing, food production, or related industries highly preferred.
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) a plus.
