Human Resources DirectorSky/SLV Auto Group – Salt Lake City & Provo MetroFull-Time | On-Site | Multi-Store Automotive Group

Sky/SLV Auto Group, a growing, high-performing automotive group with 6 stores across Salt Lake and Utah County, is looking for a dynamic Human Resources Director to lead and elevate our HR operations across all locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Employee Onboarding & Systems Setup: Manage onboarding of new hires, ensuring timely completion of all required documentation, benefits enrollment, and system logins.

  • Recruiting: Proactively source, screen, and recruit top talent for all departments, from service to sales to admin.

  • Insurance & Benefits: Evaluate and negotiate Property & Casualty, Workers' Compensation, and Health Insurance policies. Track and report on key performance indicators to help manage risk and control premium costs.

  • Policy Enforcement: Ensure consistent application of the employee handbook, maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal labor laws, and serve as a resource for managers on HR best practices.

  • Employee Relations: Address employee concerns professionally and confidentially, investigate and resolve workplace issues, and support a healthy workplace culture.

  • Payroll Administration: Oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

  • Events & Culture: Assist in planning company events, parties, and team-building initiatives that foster connection and engagement.

  • HR Metrics & Reporting: Monitor employee turnover, analyze trends, and implement strategies to support retention and performance.

  • Other Duties as Assigned: We're a fast-paced team and value flexibility—if it touches people and culture, this role is involved.

What We're Looking For:
  • Proven HR leadership experience, preferably in a multi-location or automotive environment

  • Strong understanding of employment law and payroll systems

  • Hands-on, solutions-focused approach

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Strategic thinker who can also roll up their sleeves

  • Experience sourcing and managing benefits and insurance a plus
