Human Resources Coordinator

Wieland is hiring a Human Resources Coordinator. The HR Coordinator handles administrative tasks that support the HR team and prioritizes HR customer service. In addition to collaborating closely with the HR team, this role also works closely with the HR & Labor Relations Manager and Production Supervisors.

Pay Range: $49,900 - $74,900 annually. May be eligible for a variable compensation plan bonus based upon company performance within fiscal year cycle.

This role is located in East Alton, IL and will be fully on-site.

Responsibilities

Human Resources Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for tracking and reporting weekly and monthly data for the Union and HR Dept.
  • Responsible for grievance scheduling and all disciplinary support
  • Responsible for all administrative duties to support labor relations
  • Tracks attendance and leaves of absence; coordinates with the Leave Management team
  • Serves as the lead HRIS administrator, maintaining and updating system changes, including pay progressions, job bids, and shift changes. Maintains employee and training records.
  • Administers service awards and assists with company events job fairs, benefits-related, retirees, luncheons, etc.
  • Liaison to Supervisors and production employees, providing prompt follow-up to HR related questions and issues
  • Assists with interviewing and onboarding of new hires as needed; serves as a backup to HR Generalist
  • Assists with large projects and initiatives (I-9 audit, compliance training)
Qualifications

Human Resources Coordinator Qualifications:

  • Minimum associate degree in business, human resources, or related field plus three years of related experience
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, HRIS, and time keeping systems)
  • Good Excel skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail and prompt follow-through
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Possesses high ethical standards; maintains confidentiality
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
