To learn more about the Colas USA Family of Companies, please visitwww.colasusa.com .Compensation $27-$30 per hourJob Summary The Human Resources Coordinator will use their analytical abilities to fulfill any and all tasks related to Human Resources such as benefit administration, leave of absence processes, and terminations via layoffs and demonstrate creativity to boost morale within the organization through monthly events.Main Responsibilities Act as a liaison for field/plant contacts to ensure understanding and compliance with company benefits, HR policies, and regulationsActs as secondary initiator in the completion of manual updates including but not limited to, pay increase, apprentice updates, terminations, W-4 changes, direct deposit updates, etc.Acts as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all databases used by the Company such as JDE, ColasWays, UNUM, BenefitsPath, etc.Ensure all documents pertaining to employees' personnel files are scanned and indexed accordingly and within a timely mannerManage and organize company activities committee, plan and coordinate company eventsParticipate in Company benefits administration and annual open enrollmentResponsible for conducting new employee orientation including scheduling physicals, reference checking, and dissemination of safety and benefits informationWork alongside Management to complete compliance forms including but not limited to shift change letters, local hires, Sec. 3, and DAS 140-142sOther duties as assignedEducation 1 year minimumin Human ResourcesBi-lingual in Spanish (strongly preferred)Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or similar degree (preferred)Skills Ability to be discreet with confidential information (required)Ability to handle multiple projects with frequently changing prioritiesAbility to work well with othersStrong work ethicProficient in Microsoft productsExcellent organizational and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHigh accuracy and neatness in all work aspectsSelf-motivated, with a strong work ethic and demonstrated initiativeGreat teammate with the ability to work alone for specific tasksAbility to conduct meetings and/or speak in front of groups of peopleProficient knowledge of HR principles, policies, practices and regulationsPrevious experience with HRIS systems, preferably JD Edwards and Success FactorsColas Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
