The Wellsville Group, dba Ashley is a successful top 10 Ashley Store/Ashley Outlet licensee that operates throughout Western & Central New York (Buffalo to Syracuse & the southern tier), throughout Northeast Ohio (Cleveland suburbs, Akron, Canton & New Philadelphia) & Central Pennsylvania (Johnstown & Altoona). The HR Coordinator/Recruiter provides administrative support & participates in the activities & responsibilities of the HR & Talent Acquisition Department.

The ideal person in this role has recently completed a college degree with an internship in an area of business or human resources & is looking to gain more experience. This is an entry level position for an individual with a growth mindset, eager & passionate to learn. What you will do:

  • Provide administrative support to HR function as needed (i.e. employee files, correspondence generation, record keeping, HRIS entry) with a high degree of accuracy
  • Onboard new team members by reviewing company policies & gathering new hire documentation
  • Assist with employee benefit programs (401k, health, dental, vision, life insurance, etc.0
  • Conduct benefit introduction & education for new hires
  • Coordinate LOA (leave of absence) program including FMLA, PFL & disability paperwork with team members
  • Assists with workers comp program including injury reports & accident investigations
  • Participates in annual open enrollment period during 3rd quarter
  • Coordinates and/or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation
  • Performs background & reference checks for new hire candidates
  • Review resumes, conduct phone interviews & support the hiring process
  • Provide onsite support for interviewing events in multiple locations
  • Provides & promotes an exceptional candidate & hiring team experience throughout the recruitment process by maintaining a sense of urgency, professionalism & attentiveness
  • Build relationships with hiring managers across the Company to communicate & deliver quality applicants
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications
  • Participates with HR & Talent Acquisition team on projects & initiatives

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma; Associate or Bachelor s degree, preferred
  • Completion of an HR or Talent Acquisition internship, desirable
  • Experience working in a Human Resources &/or Talent Acquisition department
