The Office of Illinois Governor, JB Pritzker is seeking a Human Resources (HR) Associate to join the Operations team based in Springfield, IL. The HR Associate will be responsible for managing a variety of human resources functions for the office including:

• Preparing and processing personnel & payroll transactions
• Maintaining confidential personnel records
• Timekeeping
• Providing guidance to staff and answering inquiries on employee benefits, office policies and trainings
• Supporting the Operations team by assisting with various reports and special projects as assigned by the Director of HR and/or the Deputy Director of HR

• Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of core HR principles, policies, and procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with MS Office suite, data management tools, and HCM systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.

• Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field
• At least 1-2 years of professional experience, preferably in human resources.
