POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for establishing, implementing, overseeing human resource practices and functions related to staffing, employee benefits, employee relations, employee performance and marketing. Provides support to management and employees as needed. - Follow all company Policies and Procedures, Quality and Environmental Management Systems (QMS & EMS), Kawasaki Production System (KPS); federal, state and local laws and regulations and any other legal and compliance regulations that may apply such as OSHA and HIPAA.
- Create, implement and oversee human resources policies, procedures, and interpret, administer and communicate National and State laws, standards, or regulations.
- May perform benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees.
- May perform all necessary duties relevant to recruiting, sourcing and acquisition of talent to fill vacant or newly created positions, including screening, interviewing, selecting and hiring new employees.
- May investigate and address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns.
- May coordinate new hire communication, enrollment for benefits and assist with annual Open Enrollment implementation; including conducting benefit orientations and open enrollment meetings.
- Provide the technical support and work with end users to provide system support.
- Prepare or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software.
- Confer with management to develop, implement and maintain personnel policies, procedures and employee handbook.
- Analyze metrics related to human resources functions to develop and implement new or improved processes, procedures or programs.
- Create, update and maintain information and material to various communications media including the HR or KMM website, social media and outside marketing sources.
- May work as a liaison between the staffing agencies and the Company.
Education/Experience Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources field or related field of study or two year's experience in a related field. Experience in HRIS Systems preferred. Computer Skills Display appropriate proficiency with computers and computer applications, including: spreadsheets (e.g. Excel), word processing (e.g. Word), presentation software (e.g. PowerPoint), databases (e. g. Access, contact management software), internet/intranet (e.g. browsers, search engines), special applications (e.g. general ledger for accounting/finance; HRIS for human resources, etc.), e-mail; can diagnose and correct minor issues with hardware and software or create instructional materials as needed.
