Morgan Corp. is currently searching for a Human Resource Coordinator to work with our project teams/divisions in the state of North Carolina (work out of our Charlotte Office).
The primary functions for this position will be to work closely with the HR team based in Spartanburg, SC to provide ongoing onboarding, benefit, and employee support to our regional divisions located in North Carolina.
Responsibilities:
- Perform day to day administrative tasks related to the employee life cycle including onboarding and orientation, processing new hire packets, administering employment and benefit changes, and processing separations.
- Processes and reviews pre-employment background checks. Completes I-9 forms and verifies I-9 documentation. Maintains online personnel records and ensures all employment requirements are met.
- Routinely visit division project sites to provide in-person HR support, answer benefit questions, execute morale and recognition initiatives.
- Frequent day travel from office to project sites. Monthly travel to other project sites in North Carolina. Infrequent overnight travel to other division offices, headquarters, and job sites in the southeast on an as needed basis.
- Collaborates closely with human resources, payroll, and recruiting.
- Assists with onsite new hire benefit enrollment by educating new hires on benefit options and coordinating monthly enrollments.
- Provide support with online benefit and 401k enrollments, as well as monthly benefit billing.
- Partner with HR Generalists to execute human resources initiatives and programs in regional division.
- Intake employee relation conversations, as well as employee relation calls. Escalate to HR Generalist and/or HR Director. Participate in follow up investigations and deliberations.
- Support the Employee Engagement Specialist with any engagement initiatives including trainings, cookouts, engagement surveys, events, delivering swag and gifts, etc. in the region.
- Work with the Employee Engagement Specialist to develop and execute creative approaches for engagement in regional offices and project sites.
- Assists HR Generalists in developing procedures and policies with a bias towards continuous improvement and creative thinking.
Qualifications:
- 1 or more years Human Resources or equivalent experience
- Bachelors Degree in HR or a related field preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Detail oriented and critical thinking skills with a bias towards continuous improvement
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe
- Must be willing to travel throughout North Carolina on a regular basis
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers, grasp, reach with hands and arms, see, speak, and hear. Frequently stand and walk. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or bend. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Most work is performed in office environment.
