Under general supervision, the Human Resources (HR) Associate performs a variety of administrative, technical, and clerical duties in support of the Town of Zebulons human resources functions. These include recruitment, employee onboarding, records management, benefits administration, and HR compliance activities. This position serves as a key point of contact for staff and the public regarding human resources policies, procedures, and services. Detailed Work Activities Provides administrative support to the Human Resources Director and Human Resources Specialist. Assists with recruitment processes including posting job openings, conducting applicant screenings, coordinating interviews, reference checks, processing background checks, orientation and preparing new hire documentation. Coordinates onboarding and orientation sessions for new employees. Maintains and updates personnel records, files, and HR databases in compliance with state and federal regulations.
