Child Start is seeking an innovative leader to oversee the Head Start program, ensuring compliance with Federal Performance Standards and managing a budget exceeding $12 million. The role involves supervising program activities, contracting services, fostering collaboration with community organizations, and leading all program staff, including managers and site supervisors.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Head Start personnel to serve families, children, and community needs.Participate as a member of the Executive Team to promote organizational goals and leadership.Design, develop, evaluate, and report on program services to stakeholders.Implement plans and policies aligned with strategic objectives and approved by the Board and Policy Council.Develop short- and long-term goals and manage budgets in collaboration with the Finance & Accountability Director.Ensure compliance with all regulations, laws, and standards related to the Head Start program.Manage grant writing, reporting, and overall program compliance.Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Public Administration, Social Work, or related field; Master's preferred.
- Deep understanding of Head Start/Early Head Start models, regulations, and high-quality early childhood environments.
- Experience managing budgets of $10 million or more is preferred.
- High integrity, problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and computer proficiency.
- Ability to make timely decisions, develop procedures, and ensure compliance.
