Gunderson Dettmer has an opening for an HRIS Manager. The HRIS Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing various Workday modules, including HR, benefits, payroll, recruiting, learning and absence. This position will also be responsible for overseeing the implementation and configuration of the talent management modules as well as maintenance and optimization of the Workday Human Resources Information System. The role involves driving process improvements, supporting configuration and testing, ensuring data integrity, and providing reporting and analytics support for the Firms US offices. The HRIS Manager will work in collaboration with IT and stakeholders throughout the firm to enhance operational efficiency and compliance. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Manage Workday system configuration, including security roles, user access, and data fields across all modules.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Implement updates and upgrades to Workday system functionality.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the Workday system by performing data cleansing and validation activities.
  • Develop and maintain data quality standards and procedures.
  • Manage data integrations with other systems and applications.
  • Collaborate with HR teams to identify opportunities for process optimization using Workday functionalities.
  • Design and implement workflow configurations for key HR business processes within Workday.
  • Analyze usage data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  • Develop and deliver customized reports and dashboards using Workday reporting tools to provide insights to HR leadership.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and patterns to inform strategic HR decisions.
  • Provide end-user training and support on Workday functionalities and system navigation.
  • Develop and maintain training materials and documentation.
  • Address user queries and resolve system-related issues.
  • Lead and manage Workday implementation projects, including requirement gathering, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a Workday Superuser or similar role within HR or IT involving HRIS management and talent management business processes.
REQUIREMENTS Minimum Requirements:
  • In-depth knowledge of Workday HR, benefits, absences, payroll, recruiting, performance/talent management, and learning modules.
  • Proven experience managing and administering Workday HRIS system across various modules.
  • Expertise in Workday configuration, reporting, and data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of HR business processes and best practices.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with meticulous follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently, apply directions, multi-task and work quickly within a framework where priorities often shift and/or conflict.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and reporting tools.
  • Ability to think and act strategically and analytically with proven experience and confidence to quickly analyze complex problems and offer solutions and provide guidance to HR team to ensure objectives are met.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • The drive to stay abreast of industry trends.
  • Experience working with third-party integrations with Workday.
  • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Superior organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Member of professional organizations (such as SHRM).
  • Workday Professional Certification.
  • Experience working in an AmLaw 200 or larger law firm or professional services organization.

The expected starting salary for this position is $150,000 - $180,000 annually, dependent upon qualifications and experience.
