Overview: The Human Resource Information System (HRIS) Administrator is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's HRIS applications and modules. This role supports and sustains system functionality, ensures data integrity, and provides technical assistance to end users. Serving as the HRIS subject matter expert, the Administrator generates and analyzes HR reports to deliver actionable insights and partners with HR, IT, and other departments to streamline processes and enhance system capabilities. Essential Functions:1. HRIS Administration & Support: 60%
- Oversees and maintains optimal function of the HRIS, including installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrades to applications, systems, and modules.
- Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users.
- Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and setting for HRIS users.
- Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
- Provides technical support for the deployment, configuration, and management of applications on endpoint devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
- Collaborates with IT and business teams to understand application requirements and ensure they are met.
- Implements and enforces security policies and procedures for applications.
- Monitors system performance and makes recommendations for improvements.
- Creates and maintains documentation for system and user configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Conducts regular audits to ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards.
- Stays current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and implement best practices.
2. Enterprise Application & Service Support: 15%
- Assists in the administration and support of other enterprise systems (e.g., finance systems, collaboration tools, service management platforms).
- Manages user access, permissions, and roles across various applications.
- Provides tier-2 technical support and resolves service requests in coordination with IT.
- Participates in system implementation and integration efforts across the organization.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation, integration, and improved user experience across systems.
3. HRIS Collaboration: 15%
- Collaborates with executive leadership and HR staff to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommends and implements solutions.
- Oversees system-generated reporting and responsible for system and data integration activities as needed.
- Serves as lead representative and liaison between HR, IT, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HRIS design and implementation projects.
4. Performs other duties as assigned. 10%Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field required.
- 3+ years of experience administering HRIS systems; additional enterprise systems support experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desirable.

- Experience with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Linux, Bash preferred.
- Basic knowledge of SQL, APIs, or integration platforms (e.g., Dell Boomi, MuleSoft).
- Familiarity with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) practices and methodologies preferred.
Work Environment:
- Office environment with some travel required.
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
