Salary: $25/hr Schedule: Full-Time, Mon-Fri Summary: The HR/TMS Assistant is responsible for providing support in all human resources functions, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of HR-related activities within the community. This position will assist the Team Member Services Manager (TMS) in tasks related to recruitment, training, employee relations, benefits administration, and general HR functions. The HR/TMS Assistant plays a key role in fostering a positive work environment, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and supporting the overall well-being of team members. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in managing the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating hiring procedures.
- Supports the onboarding process for new team members, including conducting orientation and ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Assists in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, paid time off, and other company-sponsored benefits.
- Coordinates training programs for team members, ensuring all required training is completed in a timely manner and maintaining records of completed training.
- Assists with employee relations matters, helping to resolve issues and maintain a positive work environment.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Assists in the preparation of payroll by tracking employee hours and ensuring accurate data entry for processing.
- Provides support for Workers' Compensation claims, including tracking incidents and assisting in the reporting process.
- Assists with the performance management process, including scheduling performance reviews and maintaining evaluation records.
- Responds to team member inquiries regarding HR-related matters and provides assistance as needed.
- Performs general administrative duties such as filing, maintaining office supplies, and supporting the TMS department as required.
Knowledge and Skill:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices, with a focus on employee relations and compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HR-related software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a human resources or administrative support role.
- Strong understanding of HR functions, including recruitment, training, and employee relations.
- Experience with payroll processing and benefits administration is a plus.
- Must be able to communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal, and follow instructions.
- Ability to maintain a clean and professional appearance in line with community standards.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed.
- Must be physically capable of performing assigned tasks and remain calm under pressure.
- Must pass a criminal background check and provide proof of required vaccinations (TB test, etc.).
