Required: Two (2) years of HR experience or Bachelors degree in lieu of experience Preferred: HR experience in healthcare
- Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
- Coordinates pre-employment process for new hires; new employee pre-employment examinations, processes background check, completes enrollment for orientation attendance; ensures New Employee Checklist is completed.
- Reviews and validates required new hire forms for completeness, accuracy and appropriate signatures. Communicates average rate with overtime to new hires as applicable.
- Reviews benefit plans and enrollment options with new hires and employees; escalates complex questions and issues to HR Representative or Benefits Specialist.
- Processes new employee badge and assigns security access when appropriate.
- Supports HR Representative as needed with General Orientation (GO) and Rewards and Recognition programs.
- Verifies and documents status of professional licensure and certification for all licensed and certified positions upon hire, promotion and renewal by utilizing the primary source verification; escalates to HR Relationship Manager as needed.
- Distributes compliance emails to employees and their leaders for life support certifications as needed.
- Accurately enters and reviews status changes, compensation changes, benefit elections/changes, licensure/certification and corrective action forms in HRIS system as outlined in applicable protocol; identifies opportunities for improvements on protocols and collaborates with Lead-HR Support Representative and HR Representatives to ensure accuracy.
- Maintains data integrity to ensure that employee data is accurate, consistent, complete, and valid throughout employee life cycle.
- Collects and enters student, physician, and contractor data in HRIS system.
- Prepares termination packet for HR Relationship Manager; processes employee terminations in HRIS as outlined on termination checklist; identifies outstanding relocation and sign on bonuses repayment obligations and notifies HR Representative.
- Creates and maintains electronic personnel files and conducts audits as requested.
- Assists HR team with file preparation for audits and surveyors using checklist.

- Covers front desk and main phone line as scheduled; answers general HR questions; directs phone calls and walk-ins to appropriate team member.
- Processes EDD SDI/Paid Family/Unemployment Claims; escalates complex claims to HR Representative as needed.
- Acts as back up to Leave of Absence (LOA) Specialist in sending out confirmation of return to work emails for employees and reconciling the LOA log from Matrix.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to all patients, visitors, co-workers and guests
- Self-motivated, self-starter, and ability to organize efforts around helping to create a positive experience
- Ability to type accurately and quickly using a keyboard, including the function keys
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships
- Ability to operate general office equipment (i.e., computer, printer, scanner, telephone, etc.)
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point) and HR information systems
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines
- Problem solving skills to identify issues and formulate effective solutions
