Job Description

Apex Clean Energys People Operations team is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Operations Specialist with at least 2 years of relevant experience to join our Human Resources department. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this role will provide support across HR functions including talent acquisition, benefits administration, onboarding/offboarding, and HR data analytics. A strong analytical mindset is crucial for tracking and reporting HR KPIs to support data-driven decisions.

Primary Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Track and analyze key HR metrics such as turnover, time-to-hire, and engagement survey data.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and visual reports.
  • Identify trends and areas for improvement based on HR data.
  • Generate reports for leadership and stakeholders to support strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure data accuracy by consolidating information from HR systems and performing audits.

HR Administration:

  • Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain employee records in compliance with policies and legal standards.
  • Assist with employee concerns, conflicts, and compliance programs.
  • Support employee lifecycle processes including onboarding and offboarding.
  • Handle benefits and leave inquiries, coordinate training, and support policy updates.

Onboarding & Offboarding:

  • Coordinate new hire onboarding activities.
  • Manage offboarding procedures such as exit interviews and equipment returns.

Recruitment & Team Support:

  • Assist with job postings, candidate screening, and interview scheduling.
  • Support recruitment logistics and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' progressive HR experience across multiple functions.
  • Experience with HRIS (e.g., ADP), ATS (e.g., SmartRecruiters), and LMS systems.
  • Proficiency in Excel and HR reporting tools.
  • Strong data analysis skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Discretion and professionalism handling sensitive information.
