Title: HR/Employment Assistant - Mid Location: Austin TX 78759 (Hybrid) Duration: 6+ months Shift: M-F (8-4 or 9-5) Details: We are seeking a detail-oriented HR Contractor to join our team for a 6-month project. The primary focus will be on reviewing, organizing, and transitioning employee records, HR Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and policy documents into a structured filing system for future integration into our HRIS, Workday. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a strong understanding of HR documentation and compliance requirements. Essential Functions Review and organize historical employee files to ensure they are properly labeled and meet retention requirements. Develop and implement a systematic filing structure for employee records, HR SOPs, and policy documents. Collaborate with the HR team to validate and align existing policies and SOPs with company standards. Determine the appropriate platform for publishing validated documents, whether on a portal or SharePoint. Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements in all document management processes. Provide recommendations for improvements in document management and retention strategies. Assist in preparing documents for upload into the Workday HRIS system. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth transition of HR documentation. QUALIFICATIONS Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. (Preferred but not required) Proven experience in HR documentation management and compliance. Familiarity with HRIS systems, particularly Workday, is a plus. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint. Preferred Qualifications Strong communication, organizational and customer service skills High confidentiality and integrity Proven ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment while maintaining good relationships with co-workers and supervisors Fast learner Ability to work on multiple systems at any given time Experience working for a global company HRIS experience Workday, TALEO experience a plus ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Physical Requirements This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
