ResponsibilitiesThe HR Director for Related's Hudson Yards Experiences (HYE) division will be based at the company's NYC headquarters, working onsite full time. Reporting to Related's Head of HR Business Partnering, this strategic role will support approximately 200 employees across HYE. The HR Director will oversee all facets of human resources, including talent strategy, organizational design, employee relations, and compensation and benefits. The ideal candidate will have a strong generalist background and experience working with dynamic and diverse employee populations. We'll trust you to:Strategic HR Partnership & AdvisoryAct as a trusted HR advisor, aligning talent and people strategies with business objectivesPartner with HYE senior leadership to develop and implement HR initiatives that enhance team performance, engagement, and organizational effectivenessLead workforce planning and organizational design efforts to support growth and innovationProvide data-driven insights and recommendations to improve business performance and the employee experienceEmployee EngagementDevelop and implement strategies to enhance workplace culture, focusing on communication, staff development, and employee appreciationGather feedback from employees to measure the success of engagement initiativesOversee internal communications and employee engagement programs for HYEEmployee RelationsProvide guidance to managers and employees on employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and performance managementConduct investigations and recommend resolutions for employee concernsCollaborate with legal and HR teams to navigate sensitive and confidential matters while ensuring compliance with employment lawsPrepare documentation in alignment with HYE's progressive discipline policy, including written warnings, performance improvement plans, and separation lettersTalent Development & ManagementDrive leadership development initiatives and coach managers on best practices in people management and succession planningPartner with the Learning & Development team to deliver training programs that enhance leadership, technical expertise, and soft skillsOversee performance management processes to foster a high-performance cultureWork closely with the Talent Acquisition team to monitor job openings and hiring needsCompensation & Benefits ManagementPartner with the Compensation team to administer the annual compensation and promotion processCollaborate on market analysis to ensure competitive compensation structuresProvide guidance on employee benefits and leave policies in partnership with the Benefits teamCompensation$130,000 - $150,000 / yearAnnual performance based bonusQualificationsMinimum of 7 years of HR experience, particularly in a generalist roleStrong business acumen and the ability to align HR initiatives with organizational goalsExceptional judgment and interpersonal skillsHighly self-motivated and results-orientedExcellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organizationStrong project management, problem-solving, and time management skillsAbility to manage sensitive and confidential matters with discretionKnowledge of New York labor laws regarding payroll, leave, wages, and hoursOverviewFormed in 1972, Related is the most prominent privately-owned real estate firm in the United States.
