The HR Labor Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on HR data to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. Reporting to the Director of HR Technology and Analytics, the HR Labor Data Analyst will play a critical role in supporting strategic workforce planning and operational efficiency by delivering actionable labor market insights, workforce analytics, and data-driven recommendations. This role will partner closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Finance to inform decisions on staffing, skills planning, and organizational design. The HR Labor Data Analyst will collaborate with HR, IS, and business partners to ensure data integrity, optimize system usage, and deliver actionable insights that drive organizational success. HR Data Management and Analysis
  • Collect, validate, and analyse internal workforce data and external labor market trends to support talent strategy and workforce planning.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support HR operations and leadership decision-making, such as turnover, time-to-fill, vacancy rates, and labor cost trends.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement based on data analysis. Conduct scenario modelling and forecasting to support headcount planning, budget cycles, and organizational changes.
  • Provide insights on talent supply/demand, competitor hiring activity, and geographic labor availability.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across all HR systems.
System Support and Optimization
  • Collaborating with the HR Technology, Enterprise Data Management, and IS Teams, serve as a subject matter expert for HR Analytics solutions, providing user support and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with HR and IS teams to optimize system configuration, workflows, and data integrations.
  • Participate in system upgrades, testing, and implementation of new features or modules.
  • Document processes, procedures, and best practices related to HR data management and system usage.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Training
  • Partner with HR, recruitment, and business leaders to understand reporting needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on systems and data reporting tools.
  • Support compliance and audit activities by preparing and submitting required HR data reports.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Support change initiatives by providing data to inform transformation efforts and measure impact.

  • Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or related field required. Master's preferred. Experience in lieu of education may be considered.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HR analytics, HRIS administration, or data analysis, preferably in a healthcare or large organizational setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Proficiency in HR and Talent Acquisition systems (e.g. PeopleSoft, SuccessFactors, Symplr or similar HR systems), data visualization tools (e.g. Diver, Tableau, Power BI), and Excel.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, data structures, and system integrations.
  • Experience with HRIS/ATS administration, preferably Symplr Active Staffer and Symplr ATS.
  • Familiarity with external labor market data sources (e.g. BLS, EMSI, Gartner TalentNeuron).
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to translate data into strategic insights.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality.
