Seaman Corporation is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our HR team! This position will report to the HR Shared Services Manager in Wooster, OH.

POSITION SUMMARY

The HR Coordinator is an integral partner in managing recruiting activities and building candidate relationships. The HR Coordinator will work closely with the HR Department and hiring managers to create a world-class candidate experience. This position will manage competing HR Shared Services priorities and exude a passion for delivering an exceptional customer service experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Schedules on-site candidate interviews and coordinates travel arrangements as necessary
  • Schedules candidate assessments, drug screening, background checks, and references
  • Assists with new hire orientation scheduling and travel arrangements
  • Aids Talent Acquisition Team with formatting job descriptions and posting to ATS as needed
  • Works with Internal Communications to send out internal posting notices, post jobs in plant, on state job boards, and other applicable job websites
  • Organizes and updates personnel files as needed
  • Assists with planning job fairs and campus recruiting events, updates social media posts, and attend professional networking events
  • Assists with candidate engagement, provides a positive candidate experience and maintains responsive communication
  • Enhances diversity recruiting efforts and consistently works toward meeting Affirmative Action Plans and tracks necessary data
  • Prepares materials and assists with new hire benefit orientations
  • Assists with benefit open enrollment, benefits reporting, and analytics
  • Manages service awards process and assists with quarterly milestone recognition
  • Assists with summer internship program planning
  • Fills in as backup for front desk reception; answers phones, greets visitors
  • Assists with other various Human Resource functions including, but not limited to: associate relations, compensation, benefits, well-being, and training functions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree with a minimum of 1-2 years of related HR experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Previous experience with HRIS Systems or Applicant Tracking Systems preferred
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage assignments with great attention to detail
  • Superb relationship building and customer service skills
