Job Description :

Position Summary: This role provides administrative support to the Divisional Human Resources managers and Director by assisting in day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department. In-person position.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for onboarding new hires through ADP (HRIS) system
  • Maintain Job postings on Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Maintain and update employee files, I-9 files, and legal files in line with organizational policies and government regulations, to ensure accuracy of files
  • Conduct background checks for all new hires
  • Maintain and update records with the HRIS/Payroll System(s)
  • Assists with the recruitment process by reviewing resumes and applications, and conducting phone screening and scheduling interviews
  • Prepares and forwards correspondence as is necessary
  • Assist with various projects as requested
  • Participate in departmental meetings both in-person and virtual
  • Maintain current knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulations pertaining to employer and employees
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Education/Experience:
    • Associate's degree
    • 2+ years Human Resources experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
    • Complete The Salvation Army Safe From Harm training and keep current as needed
    • Strict confidentiality
  • Computer Skills:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
    • Working knowledge of HRIS/Payroll/ATS systems, ADP Vantage a plus
    • Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint
    • Willingness to learn new programs as needed
  • Certificates and Licenses:
    • Must have and maintain a current valid driver's license and pass The Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR)
