About The Role We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Coordinator/Administrator to support our global HR Business Partners and the wider people function. Reporting to the Director, HRBP News, you will play a critical role in ensuring efficient HR operations, delivering a high-quality employee experience across all AP departments and locations. This hands-on role requires precision, collaboration, and a strong commitment to APs mission and values. This position offers flexibility with fully remote or hybrid work options, requiring three days per week in one of our AP offices. Candidates must have legal authorization to work in their location. Responsibilities

  • Partner with HR Business Partners and Talent teams to draft and administer employment contracts, addendums, and related documentation
  • Maintain and update the SAP HR database, manage employee information, and generate reports as requested
  • Communicate employee changes to payroll and benefits teams promptly
  • Monitor temporary employment contracts and assignments, providing timely updates to stakeholders
  • Track employee sickness absence, calculate sick pay entitlements, and process relevant documentation in coordination with managers and payroll
  • Manage right to work administration including document verification, database maintenance, and expiry notifications in compliance with local legislation
  • Process invoices, set up new vendors, and raise purchase orders
  • Conduct reference checks and complete references according to company policy
  • Support recruitment and onboarding administrative activities in partnership with the Talent team
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the HR team on daily operations and projects aligned with APs mission
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience in an HR Administrator or Coordinator role, preferably within an international organization
  • Experience with HRIS systems; knowledge of SAP HR and SuccessFactors recruitment/onboarding platforms is desirable but not essential
  • Exposure to recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Basic understanding of employment and right to work legislation, preferably across multiple jurisdictions
  • Strong alignment with APs mission and the importance of independent journalism
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Advanced professional written and verbal English skills; additional languages are a plus
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communicator with a collaborative and proactive approach
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee data responsibly
Salary And Benefits
  • Salary range: $59,000 - $65,000 annually (for US-based candidates; salary for other locations will be adjusted accordingly)
