Job Overview

We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Assistant to support our Human Resources department. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in HR and gain hands-on experience in HR Shared Services, talent acquisition, and administrative support. The HR Assistant will support key HR processes across the employee lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Duties may include, but not limited to all or some of the following:

  • Collaborate closely with the HR Team on policies, procedures, and initiatives
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases
  • Process employment verifications, organizational changes, and status updates
  • Support HR audits and compliance-related activities
  • Respond to employee inquiries or redirect them to appropriate HR team members
  • Assist in all aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding as required
  • Draft employment verification letters, HR communications, and other requested documentation on an ad-hoc basis
  • Provide administrative support for HR team
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Business, Human Resource Management or related field
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and customer service approach
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong MS Office skills including MS Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of HR
  • Experience with an HRIS system is a plus (but not required)
Preferred Experience
  • Internship or volunteer experience in HR or administrative roles
  • Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
