The HIV/AI DS Services Administration (HASA) within the Human Resources Administration (HRA) expeditiously provides essential benefits, including medical, social, financial, and vocational programs, to over 32,000 individuals living with HIV and 8,000+ affected families.

HASA offers intensive case management, rental assistance, emergency and permanent supportive housing, and help with public benefits like Medicaid, food stamps, and cash assistance. Vocational services prepare clients for employment, with support from counselors to identify barriers and set goals. HASA also provides home care, mental health, substance use screening, transportation, community organization referrals, and SSI/SSD application support.

The Principal Administrative Associate II in HASA Housing Services will:

  • Monitor vacancies and contracts for HASA consumers' placement in Scattered-Sites (SS) and Congregate Shelter Housing (CSH) using automated tracking tools.
  • Conduct research on housing facilities and referrals to determine consumer suitability for various housing options, utilizing data collection and reports.
  • Provide technical assistance to vendors, staff, case managers, and advocates by sharing information to meet agency goals, analyzing service delivery factors, updating policies, and facilitating case conferences.
  • Write housing specifications by researching facility details such as location, type, accessibility, and residence type for prospective clients.
  • Project housing conditions and availability by inspecting facilities and apartments, considering parameters like inspections, repairs, homelessness factors, and placement mandates.
  • Calculate case needs and refer clients for support with apartment expenses, and project housing costs based on current trends and family needs.
  • Salary Range: $59,715 - $68,672

    Location: 375 Pearl Street, NY

    Schedule: 9am-5pm
